A lot of hard work, fun, people seem to like it so I'm quite chuffed.<br /><br />I'm 36 in October. Most would consider that late to start a career in music (well I'm not exactly starting but you know) but the good old net has made it possible for 'old' (ie over 18) years olds to get themselves heard despite what the media dictates. Now we have podcasting, streamed audio etc. which is finally letting us ordinary non-conventional folks get a say over the corporate wankers who control an industry I have until now wanted no part in.<br /><br />I'm still unsure whether to try and promote my stuff more (time being the usual enemy, having the security of a full time job already etc.) and the fact that the ease of podcasting is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, anyone can now get themselves heard but this now means <span style="font-style: italic;">anyone </span>so each individual becomes like a grain of sand on an increasingly large beach. This is by no means a bad thing as music is beginning to transcend greed at last. As any artist, I want my stuff to get heard by as many people as possible, but being now one of thousands if not millions of musos plying their wares on the web what chance is there of that happening as one of those grains of sand?
